Investment Outlook 2021 in the sanitation sector
This year, the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) will allocate 1,044 million soles to carry out 901 sanitation works and formulate pre-investment studies that will benefit more than 5 million Peruvians nationwide. For rural areas, the investment will be 345 million soles and, for urban areas, 699 million soles. Among the most significant works, we find the following list with its corresponding investment amount:
- 115 million soles in the continuation of the Matriz Próceres megaproject, which will improve the sanitation service in the districts of South Lima
- 81 million soles in the development of the Annex 22 Scheme project, which will expand and improve the services of the Pampa de Jicamarca de Canto Grande sector, in the San Antonio de Huarochirí district
- 76 million soles in the project to expand and improve drinking water and sewerage services in the city of Juliaca
- 28 million soles in the comprehensive project for Coata, Sucasco and Almozanche, in the district of Coata
- 65 million soles for the continuation of the Sullana WWTP project, which will improve the evacuation, treatment and final disposal system of sewage in the cities of Sullana and Bellavista
